We've always believed that a band's name should carry the same presence as the music itself. After years of playing, recording, and growing together, we've decided it's time for a change. From this moment on, The Paladin will be known as Mount Palatine.

Why the change? Simply put: identity. Over time, we've seen too many names out there that look or sound a little too much like ours. We want to stand apart heavier, bolder, unmistakably our own. Mount Palatine feels exactly like that: a name that's stronger, more distinct, and truer to who we are right now.

To be clear - nothing else changes. The band, the sound, the spirit: it's all us. The songs from our debut album remain part of the same story, and from here on, they'll live under the name Mount Palatine. This is continuity, and a full-circle moment. The word Paladin traces back to Palatine, and by stepping onto Mount Palatine, we're not abandoning where we came from, just raising the banner higher.

And there's more: after a long stretch of playing, sweating, and fine-tuning, our second album is finally complete. Album name and release details, along with some surprising news, are coming very soon!
